Insurance Work 

• Lake Auto Glass Inc always has been on the preferred provider list for insurance companies. However, due to significant impact of Covid-19 pandemic on the auto glass market and supply chain shortages and multiple price increases from our suppliers, Lake Auto Glass Inc has made a decision not to accept any insurance work until further notice.
• Below are some of the highlights of the difficulties we are currently experiencing as result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Lack of workforce

• Insurance work requires a full-time employee to process and obtain approvals. We cannot pass these costs to insurance companies and these costs would be a burden to our company.

Finding qualify staff to perform the job

• Lake Auto Glass, as with many companies, are finding it more and more expensive to find quality staff, especially when insurance companies have not increased their payments.
• Further, the cost of freight, lack of parts due to supply-chain problems, and constant price increases from suppliers has pushed price above what insurance companies are willing to pay.
• Supply Chain and product shortages and multiple price increases 
• There are severe limitations in product availability causing long delays across the supply chain  
• Weekly and monthly price increases have arisen from suppliers.
• There have been cancellations of back orders and  limited quantities of purchased items.
•  Freight costs have tripled and quadrupled from our suppliers for delivering products

In summary: The cost of doing business is at least triple since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, which we cannot pass to insurance companies.

Large corporations involved in the auto glass market can absorb the price increase while some small businesses may not survive this Covid-19 pandemic. Some of the small businesses, such as Lake Auto Glass , Inc chooses to pay higher costs while maintaining quality  products, workmanship, competitive edge and service at reduced capacity.

Since Lake Auto Glass no longer accepts insurance. What option do I have?

• You still have the following option if you would like us to do work for you. Although we expect full payment at time of service, we will provide you with an invoice when work is completed with your vehicle VIN number in turn you can submit a Lake Auto Glass Inc invoice to your insurance company for full reimbursement (if you have zero deductible).
